Groups
Organize playgroups, clubs, or trade circles and discover matches across everyone's collections.
Groups let you share collections and trade with a set of people without requiring everyone to be friends. Open Groups from the header to see your groups, pending invites, and trade match counts at a glance.
Creating a group
Choose Create group on the Groups page. Give the group a name, optional description, and accent color. After creation you are the owner and can invite others from the group page or settings.
Group page
Each group has a dashboard with three tabs:
- Members — everyone in the group with avatars, bindr/deck/want counts, and trade match counts. Open a member to browse their shared collections.
- Matches — trade matches between you and other members, ranked by overlap. Matches only count cards in binders the other person can actually see (public binders, or friends-only binders when you are friends).
- Search group — search cards across all members' visible collections to see who owns or wants a card.
Managers and owners also see Share / Invite on the group page. Everyone can open Settings to leave the group or, for managers, manage the group.
Inviting members
There are two ways to add people:
- Email invite — enter their ScryBindr account email. They receive a notification and can accept from the Groups page.
- Invite link or QR code — copy a join link or show a QR code. Anyone with the link can join while it is valid.
In group settings, owners and managers can choose Who can invite members? — Owner only, Managers, or Everyone. Pending email invites can be resent or revoked by managers.
Roles
- Owner — full control, including deleting the group and transferring ownership. There is one owner per group.
- Manager — can edit group details, invite members, and remove members (but not the owner).
- Member — can browse shared collections, use group search, and trade with other members.
Owners can promote members to manager, demote managers, transfer ownership, or remove members. To leave as owner, transfer ownership first.
Group settings
Settings are organized into four sections:
- Group details — name, description, cover image upload, and accent color (managers and owners only).
- Invites — invite permission, email invites, copy link, QR code, regenerate link, and pending invites.
- Members — member list with roles, join dates, and management actions.
- Danger zone — leave the group (non-owners) or delete the group (owner only, requires typing the group name to confirm).
Notifications
Group invites, new members, trade matches, and want-list overlap all appear in the header notifications menu. Enable push notifications in your profile to receive the same alerts on your device.
Trading in groups
You can start trades with any group member the same way you trade with friends — from their profile, trade match banners, or your trade pile. Group membership alone does not reveal friends-only binders; only binders you could see on their public profile count toward matches. See Trades for the full trade flow.
Visibility and privacy
Group membership does not make your private binders visible to other members. Only public binders are visible to group members who are not also friends; friends-only binders require an accepted friend connection. Your want list follows the same visibility setting as elsewhere on ScryBindr.
